GENERAL
This website, at https://www.agilers.in/, is operated by Agilers ("We/Our/Us"). We take your privacy seriously and we collect and process personal data in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other applicable national and state laws. Please read what follows so you understand how we handle your information.
We collect personal information so we can arrange your travel and keep improving what we offer.
This policy can change without advance notice. Check back occasionally so you know where things stand.
Every partner firm and third party working with us who has access to personal information is expected to read this policy and comply with it. No third party gets access to sensitive personal information we hold without first signing a confidentiality agreement.
How we collect information
Directly from you and through this site. We collect information when you visit, enquire, or make a booking. What we collect depends on how you interact with us.
Through business interaction. Information may come to us through dealings with you, your employer, or your travel coordinator.
From other sources: Public databases, joint marketing partners, social media platforms, and travel industry partners including airlines, hotels, and booking systems.
Information we collect
Travel bookings need more personal detail than most transactions do. Airlines want passport numbers. Hotels want ID. Visa offices want documents neither of them asked for. So, the list here is longer than you might expect.
Booking and identity details: full name as printed on your passport, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number and expiry date, visa details, and where a supplier requires it, a scan of the document itself.
Contact details: phone number, email, postal address, and emergency contact information.
Payment information: billing name and address, GST details where you're claiming credit, and partial card information returned by the payment gateway. Complete card numbers and CVV codes are never stored on our systems — those stay with the gateway.
Travel preferences: seat and meal choices, room type, frequent flyer numbers, accessibility requirements, and any special assistance you've asked us to arrange.
Health and dietary information, but only when you give it to us or when a supplier needs it — a wheelchair request, a medical clearance, an allergy note. This is sensitive data and we treat it accordingly.
When you visit our site, certain information is collected automatically: your operating system, IP address, access times, browser type and language, and the site you visited before ours. We also see the full URL clickstream through our site, which pages you looked at, page response times, download errors, how long you stayed, and page interaction details like scrolling and clicks.
If you're booking for someone else, you're confirming you have their permission to give us their details. We'll take your word for that.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some are deleted when you close your browser. Others stay and let the site recognize you next time.
We use them to keep your session and search active while you move between pages, to see which parts of the site people actually use, to run research and diagnostics that improve our content and services, to prevent fraudulent activity, and to strengthen security.
Most browsers accept cookies by default. You can set yours to reject them, but the booking and enquiry functions won't work properly if you do. Your browser's instructions will tell you how to change the setting.
Approved third parties may also set cookies when you use our services — search engines, analytics providers, social media networks, and advertising companies. They use them to deliver content and ads relevant to your interests, measure ad effectiveness, and perform services for us.
How we use information
We use what we collect to provide, maintain, protect, and improve our services. Specifically, to:
- Arrange, confirm, and service your travel bookings
- Improve our services, site, and how we run the business
- Understand and enhance your experience with us
- Personalize recommendations and offers
- Process and account for transactions
- Provide customer support and respond to your queries
- Create and manage any account you hold with us
- Send confirmations, invoices, itinerary updates, schedule changes, technical notices, and security alerts
- Tell you about promotions, offers, and news, where you've opted in
- Comply with tax, anti-money-laundering, and other legal obligations
- Protect against and investigate fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity
Where the law requires it, we may process your information without your knowledge or consent — for identity verification, or for the prevention, detection, investigation, or prosecution of offences, including cyber incidents.
If you've opted into marketing, subscribed to our mailing list, entered a competition, or given us your details at an event, we may use your data to send you offers, updates, and event information.
By using this website, you agree that we may feature your feedback on the site and in marketing material.
Data transfer and sharing
Travel doesn't happen inside one company. To confirm anything, your details go to the relevant airline, hotel, cruise line, tour operator, transport provider, or destination management company. Once your data is with them, their privacy policy governs what happens next, and we'd suggest reading it.
Your information also reaches global distribution and booking systems used to issue tickets, payment gateways and banks, visa processing agencies and embassies where we're handling your application, travel insurers where you've bought cover through us, and our accountants, auditors, and legal advisers under confidentiality obligations.
These third parties get only the information needed to do their job. They can't use it for anything else and must handle it in line with this policy and applicable law.
Book an international trip and your data will leave India — a hotel in Zurich needs your details in Zurich. We transfer information only to countries not restricted by the Central Government under the DPDP Act, and we require reasonable safeguards from our suppliers. We can't promise every foreign jurisdiction protects data as strictly as India does.
We also release account and personal information where we believe it's appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Agilers, our customers, or others. That includes exchanging information with other organizations for fraud protection.
We don't sell your data and we don't rent it to advertisers.
Data security
We take reasonable care to protect customer data. Technical measures are in place against unauthorized access, accidental loss, and damage. Staff handling data are trained to protect it from illegal or unauthorized use.
We protect information in transit using SSL encryption, which secures sensitive data like card numbers and login credentials as you enter them. Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards apply to how we collect, store, and disclose customer information. Access to personal data is limited to employees, agents, and contractors with a legitimate business need.
Protecting your own username and password is your responsibility. Don't reuse passwords across accounts, and sign off when you finish using a shared computer.
No system is airtight. If a breach occurs that's likely to affect you, we'll notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Links to third-party sites
Our site may contain links to other websites. If you follow one, that site applies its own terms to collecting and handling your data, and we accept no responsibility for their policies. Read the privacy policy of any site you visit after leaving ours.
Social network plugins
This website includes plugins and buttons for social networks so you can share content easily. They're configured not to set cookies when the page loads. Cookies may be set if you choose to use a plugin, and the respective network's privacy policy governs whatever information it collects.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a summary of the personal data we hold on you, request corrections to anything inaccurate, ask for erasure where we no longer need the data, and withdraw consent you'd previously given.
To opt out of promotional emails, follow the unsubscribe instructions in any of them. We may still send non-promotional messages about an active booking or ongoing business relationship.
Requests about your preferences, corrections, deletions, or opting out of third-party sharing go to the email address at the bottom of this page. We'll respond within thirty days.
One thing worth knowing: withdrawing consent mid-trip may mean we can't service your booking, and any cancellation charges the supplier levies will still apply.
Newsletter
Once you subscribe, your email address is used for our promotional purposes until you cancel. You can cancel any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any newsletter.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy from time to time. When we do, the "Last Updated" date changes. Continuing to use our services after a revision is published counts as acceptance of it.
Contact
If you have a privacy concern or a grievance, write to us with a full description and we'll work to resolve it.
